  1. We missed him when he was injured. Even his detractors have to admit that much. He will flourish under Kenny, no doubt about it.

  4. They can be invited too. This will leave FIFA totally redundant.
  5. Good on the clubs. I've long felt UEFA, or at least the European clubs, should break away from FIFA, a corrupt organisation that really don't look out for European interests even though the majority of funding comes from us.
  6. Indeed they are. Winning the major international honours has given these players a feeling of self-importance and suddenly they can't be at clubs not worthy of them. They need to be at clubs capable of winning trophies. Egotistical fools.
  7. Souness has really soured his standing with the fans after his time as manager and the incident with the rag. But he's always been apologetic about the latter, he made a huge mistake and has admitted to it and apologised on more than a few occasions. None of this should detract from his efforts for us a player, he was magnificent.
  8. The Torres situation should be a warning against reds to not get too attached to players who don't have a iron clad connection to the club. When things aren't going well, they'll be off. Masch, Torres and now maybe Pepe. They came here to win things and if we can't satisfy that demand then they will be off to someone who can. Torres has proven that club rivalry doesn't mean s*** to him and it wouldn't surprise me if the other foreign lads feel the same. They don't hate ManU like we supporters do so they would be open to a move there. It goes without saying that we should never entertain a bid from the mancs for any of our players. Nearly 50 years of refusing to do business with the vermin should not come to an end for any reason. Unless they want to sign Poulsen for £20M.
  9. Whatever. This fee is simply ludicrous and everyone knows it. Except those deluded by Kenny's supposed infallibility as perceived by some of the zealots here. Just like the 'Rafa can do no wrong' mantra I've read all about here on this forum. Get some perspective; we are being ripped off big time.
  10. I have no problem with fans burning knock off replicas.
  11. I hope the deal yet falls through. We are the biggest mugs in English football bar none for paying so much money for Andy f***ing headcase Carroll. Other clubs around Europe will be thinking who the hell is this guy we've made one of the most expensive transfers of all time. The old owners are gone but we are still hopeless in the transfer market. Any club can continue to rely on us for buying their players for hugely inflated prices. What a mental day this has been.
  12. Jesus this is mental. Absolutely crazy. I'm beginning to think bringing Kenny back was a bad idea. I can't believe he would sanction such a huge move for a headcase like Carroll. He's not even had half a season in the Premiership, there's no way in the world he can be worth £35M!
  13. Who the hell sanctioned a £30M bid for f***ing Caroll??? This is just madness.
  14. f*** him. Should've booted him out along with Benitez back in the summer. He's never looked arsed this season except on the odd occasion. Let him go to a plastic club like Chelsea, one of the few clubs stupid enough to waste huge money on a crock. All those treatments we gave the little b*****d after his national team kept breaking him and now he wants to desert us in our hour of need...he can get f***ed.
  15. I would sell for £50M provided Torres wants to leave. I'm not convinced he wants to be here any longer and another season without CL footie is hardly going to appeal to him.
  16. What the hell?!? I sure hope Johnson didn't sanction that page of the website. He can't be that thick.
  17. I still think he's a brilliant attacking right-back (not left back ffs!) but his defending is just getting worse and worse. If we could somehow get back the money we spent on him, I would take the offer in a heartbeat. Kelly looks really promising in that role and I would prefer him to remain right-back for the long-term.
  18. He didn't help himself by spending obscene amounts of money on the likes of Johnson and Aquilani during those transfer windows either.
  19. Benitez left us with a squad full of garbage, not even Kenny (or any other manager in the world) can transform them into better players. I would be happy if the entire current squad, barring Pepe, Gerrard and Torres, were to be phased out over the next 2 seasons. Realistically that's how long it will take to build a squad capable of doing anything other than battling relegation.
  20. Gerrard apart, our midfield really is awful. And I wouldn't trust Gerrard in an orthodox central midfield position. Lucas, Meireles, Jovanovic, and especially Poulsen are poor. Maxi is okay but invisible when playing in away games. Johnson is a weak defender and Skrtel is a liability. Kuyt has never been anything better than a squad player yet somehow has been the first name on the teamsheet for years. We are in such poor shape, unless mass changes are made in terms of personnel, we are going to be in the thick of a relegation battle. And I have doubt as to whether Kenny can turn it around with the rubbish he has available to him.
  21. Wasn't really too keen to see Kenny back, this performance and result demonstrates why. Why on earth Poulsen and Jovanovic were playing I don't know. Kenny has a lot of work to do to keep us up.
  22. There's a noticeable decrease in hoofing the ball aimlessly when Agger is in the team. Let's hope he stays fit and that Comolli can find a good centre-half to partner him during the transfer window.
  23. What's happened to Torres? That was shocking.
  24. Indeed. I don't know why any Red would show disdain for Broughton after what he did for the club. The man's a hero in my eyes. Hearing that the old yanks were finally f***ed off thanks to the actions of Broughton was one of the happiest days I can recall as a Liverpool fan.
  25. Ferguson's a*** kissers are lining up to plant more smackers on his wrinky old behind: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1343019/Tony-Pulis-follows-pal-Sir-Alex-Fergusons-lead-scrapping-Preston-loans.html
