I don't get this implication that Carra helped engineer Rafa's sacking. Why would he even do that? It's thanks to Rafa that Carra became a recognised, top-class centre-half. He was not held in the same esteem before Rafa came along. And Rafa persisted with Carra even though some poor performances. Rafa never dropped Carra and didn't look likely to. So I don't buy the idea that Carra wanted him out.

I hear some people saying Carra would be a good potential manager in the future. We ARE becoming like Newcastle, seeking out a messiah to save us! Kenny would be perfect as a temporary manager, but is not a long-term solution.

Difficult to say whether Johnson leaving is a good or bad thing. He is quite easily the best player we have when it comes to beating opposing full backs. He can effortlessly go past a number of players, he has that ability and you don't find many players anywhere that can do that as consistently as him at the highest level. But his defending is poor, he's made so many c**k ups and I dread attacks down our left when he is in the team! Maybe playing him further up the pitch would work out better, but without striding from deep, I'm not sure how effective he'd be as a right-winger. I don't want us to lose decent English players but if someone offers silly money, might be best to take it.

You must be joking! Arsenal ARE light years ahead of us. They have a relatively new stadium for one, which helps them generate more revenue than any other English club. We on the other hand are not likely to be in a new stadium for at least 5 years. Their squad depth is far greater than ours, and they have a far superior manager. I wouldn't be happy to see Pepe join them but it wouldn't be such a bad move for him, if we're being objective.

He was more likeable in the lower leagues. Now he just annoys me, especially after that embarrassing press conference where he was basically sucking off Ferguson.
