Despite the results this weekend I think "Mr Ferguson" has been rattled by Rafa's comments. Rafa has thrown down a marker saying ok if you want to play mind games you can but I'm not going to play them but what I am going to do is stir up some serious sh*T which you are not going to like one bit

Rafa's best position is clearly in the stands and with Xavi picking up the loose instructions and making forward runs and acting as provider for Sammy and Mauricio it is clear this formation works best.

Couldn't Sammy have been trusted with making the decisions perhaps within an overrall gameplan set by Rafa? As the originl poster points out Rafa couldn't see everything and perhaps could not respond to situations as quickly.

Although I am a big admirer of Rafa if it is true that he made all the decisions from home then I can't help but find that disappointing.

Well apparently it is because we don't count the ones that have already been played - so when you take out the hundreds of games that have been played in the last 19 years then yes it is the most important game of the last 19 years. I think.

There is no evidence that the team is psychologically fragile and your suggestion is just speculative - hardly analysis. The performances suggest great mental strength both in coming from behind on several occasions and showing real bottle in games against the Mancs and Chelsea. As for the "Rafa has taken us forwards and backwards" you conveniently ignore the plainly obvious - that Rafa has taken us so far forwards in his time. One could be forgiven for thinking you had an agenda.

That Villa e Madrid trophy that we won in '87. There was a story about that on LFC TV a while back about how Athletico would win this enormous trophy every year because they always played some local team that they were guaranteed to beat but in that year, I think the story was that Kenny was looking to set up a pre-season friendly and arranged for us to play them - they somewhat reluctantly agreed and lost it much to their chagrin!
