I don't mind Gray. I think he talks a lot of sense, taking into consideration the product and market they appeal to, and has obvious passion for the game. Keys is just a smug sycophant, which is probably why he's lasted so long.

Wenger was well within his rights to blank Hughes, who can be a bit of an arrogant brat on the touchline. He's done it with Rafa.

Average player, average pundit. I turn over before he even has a chance to open that whiney self important gob of his. That goes for Keys also. How can a man who has been presenting the main football channel in this country for over 17 years still be that clueless about the game. He'd be lost completely without some idiot producer whispering the latest media cliche down his hairy lug hole.

No chance. All those players are superior central midfielders. Souness stands alone in that regard, he was the greatest. Stevie has always been a striker bursting to get out, which is why these comparisons are never easy given the differing attributes of each player. In terms of influence on the club, he's up there at the very top.

I didn't pick Fowler, though I can understand why some have given his past contribution. Babbel is in for me because he was head and shoulders above the competiton. I rate him as one of our best ever, even in such a short stint at the club. Kewell, though, had a good half a season and then, due to injuries and a poor attitude, went into terminal decline.

That's a big shout. His best was at Leeds and he never reached those heights with us. Benayoun has contributed far more.

How does Kewell make it into a team of the decade? He was practically an invalid for two seasons.

Hughes is just playing out time there. I bet the Arabs are desperate to get a big glamour name in but also want to be seen to be doing things the right way, which is impossible with all that money. They'll either win/buy everything in sight over the next decade or implode under the weight of expectation.
