Prepare to be disappointed. The Benfica game was made for Pacheco to come on for 10 mins at the end and yet again he was overlooked, I just hope he doesn't get bored and **** off back to Spain. Heard a rumour Neil Lennon wanted to take him on loan next season at Celtic, which might be the best thing for him.

He's got bags more pace than Le Tiss, but his touch is good and his reading of the game looks first class. I think he'll be a big hit and hopefully one of Rafa's best buys. They call him 'the Serbian snake' in his homeland and I'm split between wanting this nickname to be about his pace/dribbling skills, or some 2nd 'career' making home videos with a string of semi willing girlfriends in some scruffy flat in downtown Belgrade. I need to get out more.

Riera £8m Lucas £10m - off to Spain Degen £4 - good world cup! Babel £12 - ditto Total £34m I'd sign Kjaer £12m Milner £20m Jovanovic is already signed on a free 2m + Any actual investment! lol, for Rafa to play with in the post world cup melle and buy a partner for Torres, my option would be expensive and short term. David Villa. 1st 11 Reina Cavalieri Johnson Carra Agger Insua df.subs, Skrtel, Kjaer, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Darby Jovanovic Gerrard Masch Milner mf.subs Benayoun, Maxi, Aqua, Kuyt, Plessis Torres Villa f.subs, Ngog, Pacheco,

Not with that attitude.

Spend what money there is on a national/regional newspaper advert informing all LFC fans of the intention to boycott the first 10-15 minutes of our last home game of the season. The Chelsea game is one of the biggest of the season and will be recieving a large worldwide audience and the image of an empty Kop is the most potent I can think of. I would hope that given over a month to organise such a protest, come the 1st of May at least 90-95% fans would be aware of the idea and understand the reasoning behind it. As has been previously suggested, not all fans would be receptive and that is why it would be neccessary to employ tactics more akin to a political or union based protest. Basically a picket line, although I'm not suggesting something resembling the miners strike with committed SOS etc members sreaming Scab at fellow reds who don't see it there way. Just passionate fans convincing fellow reds through friendly banter and a pinch of emotional blackmail!, that what we gain by the 100% enforcement of the protest outweighs the individual annoyance of not seeing 10% of the game. Loving someone/thing sometimes involves some sacrifice, or it does it my life!! . The police would have to be informed and if there were issues with congestion, the fans who were agreeable could mill round in Stanley Park for 10 minutes without to much bother. 1000 black scarves amid a sea of red will I'm afraid look crap and be ineffectual. An empty Kop/stadium not only provides the best image of discontent but also I think is the best practical vehicle to unite the fanbase to enforce change of ownership. If I had the dough I'd arrange LFC fan parties in Stanley park on home matchdays. An Anfield 'Tea Party', minus a few thousand Republican gun enthusiasts. There would be a couple big ass screens showing the game, a few mobile bars, kiddies 5 a side games, Stan Boardman wandering around telling mildly offensive jokes etc. Maybe invite a few of the players at half time?

Why bother spending ten grand?. The cheapest way, in monetary terms, of making the most effective protest possible is an empty stadium. If we aren't willing to make a protest by potentially boycotting the games, then we're part of the problem, as we are in part funding and thus supporting the current owners to perpetuate the continuing limbo we are in.

Who'd play the 'cop on the edge' trying to take them down? Dirk would not rest until they were behind bars, sadly that's the best I've got.
-
The kop being empty for the 1st 10 minutes of the Portsmouth game would be difficult to organise but provide the kind of message that would get global attention and turn up the pressure a notch.

and I buy a high powered snipers rifle.........

LOL, If he had any sense he'd form a crew with Amoo, the greek & Martin Skrtel and start flogging meth!

Mostly in the kind of accusing, annoyed tone you'd use with your girl/boyfriend, wife or kids! My top 10 would defo be: 1. Rafa : Sweet Jesus will you play a 4-4-2, drop SG into the top of a diamond, Mach at it's base and spend most of the money we have on a partner for Fernando. ps. PLAY PACHECO in the meantime! 2. Fernando : For the love of god stop all the sniping. If you concentrated on your game for the 10% of the time you're having a dialogue with the ref/ opposing players you'd score more goals. Like the 33 you bagged in your 1st season when you, through language issues, were a virtual mute. 3. Pepe : I love you bud, keep it up 4. Stevie : You look a bit lost bud , bit heavy in the legs. Have a team meeting and suggest the squad go away to Dubai for 3-4 days. Go to a local bar (with a really good dukebox) and relax. Then come back and be the player we all know and love. 5. Aquilani : Don't give up fella 6. Mascha : Don't go bud, it will be better next season, honest. 7. Babel : Just run as much as Dirk for god's sake 8. Carra : Ohh Jamie, I'm glad you've got the summer off mate, you'll come back next season raring to go and would play for peanuts, bless you m8. 9. Lucas : How's about you have a sit down for a while eh lad. 10. The Americans : please, please sell our club to someone flithy rich and remember the 25% share holding for the fans as an apology on your way out. What would your spleen have to say????

Hold the front page!!!!, Sgcotg withdraws support for Rafa I can see there being a press conference sometime this afternoon, Rafa with tears in his eyes saying how sorry he is to the fans, but without Sgcotg's support he feels his position is untenable. Purslow will make some touching speech, remembering the good times and wishing Rafa all the best in the future. Probably get some LFCTV action mid afternoon, Sammy Lee regretfully accepting the interim managers job, saying how sad it all is but the club must go on etc. Mark this moment in history!, commeth the hour commeth the unqualified rant that was the tipping point in LFC's history. Thanks Sgcotg, keep up the good work fella.

You should get slated. Not sure how many times SG has skippered LFC in his 350+ games for Liverpool, but I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt that we're only looking at a tiny percentage along the way where he's fallen below the high standards required. It's been a s£$t season for nigh on every player bar Pepe, Yossi, Masch, Pacheco....... Grow up.

Reina Carra Škrtel Agger Insua Mach Johnson Yossi Gerrard Pacheco Torres

Nice topic but......., reading peoples premonitions about future games/results loses it's appeal pretty quickly. Focus your good karma on non of our players getting a knock in the upcoming international friendlies!, notably SG and FT!!!! Specifically on Stevie mind, in skippering England he'll be giving 150% and if, god forbid, he got an injury that ruled him out for the next 6 weeks, we can all but kiss 4th spot goodbye.

The Jovanovic deal is done, I guess that's a step in the right direction. That said, I'm sure our owners are plotting some other way to make our summer slightly more disappointing.

No no no, Martin is a good defender and is almost back to his best. Root and branch reform is not necessary. We simply need to spend what meagre funds we have and can raise on 2-3 players, instead of 6-7 as in previous seasons. I would agree that some players need to leave the club, but I would want the young, home grown lads to be loaned or sold with buy back clauses. I hope rafa has most of his business done before the W.C, with some cash up his sleeve for an impulsive buy in August.

I posted a similar thread of a manc forum a few weeks ago and it recieved some typical 'moose like' replies!, but also a number of dirty reds who welcomed the idea of using universal themes to send the message of displeasure at the amount of debt being lumped on our shoulders. The idea of Hicks and or Gillet standing in the directors box and the entire Anfield faithful turning their backs on them would be a great moment and potent image to contribute to the 'we dont like you, get the f"£k out of Liverpool' campaign. Bottom line is, I love LFC more than I dislike Utd.

Glad you're not doing the pre match chat! Rafa will have the team up for this game, if we go into it without 100% focus we'll play a tepid game and Unirea will be hard enough to break down as it is. Obviously, a good tool in keeping the tempo high, is to play a couple of young guns who, whatever the opposition, will be keen as mustard to get stuck in. I hope and pray DP gets his 1st start, his performances in the reserves have been excellent and he must be desperate to show the kop he is ready to step up. Knowing Rafa he'll only get on in the last 15, and only if we are already 2-0 up!, c'est la vie!! Sure someone has mentioned it already...., but if we win the Europa League, doesn't that mean automatic qualification for next years champs league????

This will be resolved after the World Cup, when unfortunately, Mascherano will join Barcelona. Why wouldn't he? At least we'll make good money to invest 20M in another bench warmer and 15-20M for our beloved owners to pay off their, oh sorry, our debt.
