This thread seems to contain a great many people who seem to think we should be playing great football and be in the top 2-3 this season. We are s*** because of a reason. All depends on which players are currently, or by January, unhappy with their situation and coming towards the end of their contracts. If this new bunch of Yanks has any sense they will only get involved in player swaps or loans, as firing off 20M on a player ready & willing to bail mid season rarely works out. Valencia will not let Mata leave in Jan so forget that in the next window, but in the summer maybe. A striker on loan, with an option to buy in the summer if he impresses, is I think our top priority. Who that is I've no idea.
