  1. Ok not that I'm complaining.. but where is Brad Jones?? Why did we f***ing buy him!!!!
  2. I'm thoroughly disappointed Rafa's Inter didn't tear melty face a new one so we could crow about it for ages!! Bale was astonishing, and tbf Spurs played well. As you say, nice football.. I would suggest the score doesn't reflect the contest, but obviously I'm biased.. bugger!
  3. OK I get that you weren't having a go, and I wasn't having a go at you either, it just seems fairly obvious that Rafa was persistently asked about Liverpool to the point that he could no longer refuse. And besides that, there is a point where he has to make a stand for himself, even if keeping his mouth shut might have been 'the very best thing for the club'. There is also a counter-argument that this type of slanging matches DO help the club, because it has a different tone to the popular media view of Roy. Anyway, this conversation is pages old, forget it
  4. I still can't believe this sort of reply. In the video I saw (perhaps some videos have edited it out), before speaking, Rafa insists something to the effect of: I must only speak now of Liverpool because they (the reporters/media) continue to ask me, so here goes.... [insert best 2 minutes of a press conference all year here].. And then closes by saying: And that is everything I will say about that. Given that he has been forced on the matter, you cannot blame him, and in fact given the comments Roy made about him and to an extent Dalglish, he has more than the right to respond and defend himself. Not to mention these comments were part of a probably much larger PC If the video you saw or the report you read didn't include this, then fair enough, but it should be known.
  5. If we are going to play a 4-4-2 I just don't understand why Gerrard isn't out right, given Meireles and Lucas are playing well together in the middle, and Gerrard has played out there before!! f***ing madness imo. Thought N'Gog played quite well though, and proved me wrong when I was unhappy with the tactics of the sub.
  6. The problem is, when you combine the terrible press conferences which show just how out of touch he is, with the performances, with the apparent morale of the squad (Torres looked f***ing miserable yesterday, and played like s*** too), and a less than stellar dip into the transfer market, you have to ask yourself why is he there. The level of performance we have seen up until Blackburn, and to an extent Bolton, was absolutely shocking. I didn't think we played that well vs Bolton really, it certainly wasn't entertaining football, and I believe that the level of performance has dropped from last season, so I disagree with your point; he has made a noticeable negative impact on the club in his short period. The jury is still out on transfers, to fairly judge I suppose you would have to wait until he gets a transfer window where he doesn't have to sell, but so far his signings (overall) look f***ing 'orrible. And so I have zero confidence in him for the long term (3 year contract, isn't it?), and cannot understand why anyone would continue to back him. For the record, I hope he is gone asap.
  7. Maxi!! Had a pretty poor game but if that had gone in it would have been sublime
  8. Jesus, N'Gog?? Didn't you learn anything last week Roy?
  9. f***in better be
  10. The only thing worth reading from that interview. Wish the reporter had asked him when exactly that was.
  11. True. Obviously a slightly different style to Rafa
  12. I thought he handled it well, it's pretty obvious that he got asked the same question again ('so you do want to keep Torres, Gerrard and Reina') and then he took the opportunity to correct and clarify his position and statements about Torres a few weeks earlier. Maybe he is learning a few things, even after all these (35) years.. Edit: Duhhh missed the bit where it actually STATES that he was asked that question again. Still, he straight batted it, not too many complaints coming from me, even if he is a bit waffly (he is 86 after all)
  13. That article has been posted elsewhere, they're old quotes spinning new s***.
  14. Right, looking forward to this. If we run out the same as last week we should get an away win under our belts finally! Reina Johnson Soto Agger? (Carra) PFK (Aurelio to come on for 30) Lucas Mereiles Kuyt? (Maxi) Cole Gerrard Torres No f***ing about, that's a bloody good side who should be taking all the points.
  15. Much like the rest of our team. We always complain about how he makes too many side passes, but he or Mereiles would make incisive forward passes to Gerrard and follow the pass while the other stayed behind. Two real proper centre midfielders working together, rather than CDM or CAM. Impressive stuff. Admittedly, it was Blackburn.
  16. Already Torres looks more up for it, made up for him. Great ball from JC, too bad about the extremely poor touch from PFK just seconds earlier in wide open space.
  17. COME ON
  18. f***ING KONCHESKY
  19. Well in Mereiles, watching Konchesky dive in like that and get skinned is going to give me heart failure
  20. Yusss
  21. this. Cant let ourselves be fooled if its a fluke, but Ill enjoy it while we can. Get in!
  22. DAMN
  23. Incisive balls from Lucas earlier, Maxi getting up for it, Torres made a hash of that, but a belter from Mereiles after the corner. Great watching, dunno what the f*** is happening!!
  24. http://atdhe.net/26533/watch-liverpool-vs-blackburn looking good, dare i say it
