  1. Yeah, I like the appeal idea. One per team.
  2. I agree that using it for every single incident will cause too much disruption, but at least give the officials the option of using it for goal line and penalty box incidents that lead to goals and determine the outcome of important games. If theres enough doubt in their minds they can do a quick referal and get it cleared up. And if it turns out to be inconclusive even with the replay then the original decision stands.
  3. I think hes overrated and suffers from the new Maradonna tag.
  4. Nial Quinn claims its the greatest sporting injustice of all time. His memory became hazy when someone mentioned beach balls...hypocrite.
  5. Now that the whole world has seen a game of such huge magnitude decided by an incident that could have been cleared up within seconds, surely they now have to step out of the dark ages and introduce it? Its absolutely staggering that a major global sport like football, with so many cameras recording every single moment, still has these grey areas, which only puts more and more pressure on officials to be absolutely perfect.
  6. Roy Keane is an absolute d****ead. He tries too hard to be contrary.
  7. Now that's arrogant self promoting nonsense. 'The real big 4'. My appetite for the game just went up a notch.
  8. Oh right.
  9. So it is. Here's to a guaranteed 3 points against a f***ing rubbish team. Next time an opposition keeper runs towards the KOP, I'll remind anyone clapping that they're all arrogant self promoting idiots.
  10. You're getting all flustered now, it's all that internet anarchy. Take a break.
  11. Maybe it's because I wasn't dragged up and was educated in the Liverpool way of, among other things, respecting the opposition, even if it is on an internet forum. Though I'm not as rebelious as you, you big internet rebel.
  12. Is there an ignore feature on here? Thankfully our knowledgeable majority make up for the dregs.
  13. Momo? I'm surprised you're posting on internet forums and not managing at the top level with such a vast knowledge of the game. 'der fukin s*** dem'.
  14. Can't see a pragmatist like Rafa opting for two youngsters up front in a huge game like this. If he does and gets it wrong the knives will be out massively. He has made some strange off the wall selections in his time here though. Now I'm worried.
  15. Trust Tompkins to put a positive spin on the ludicrous decision to sell Xabi and replace him with the average Gareth Barry. Rafa got it wrong and under estimated Alonso's importance to the team big time, and we're paying for it now.
  16. Sort your attitude out will you. We've always shown respect to the opposition in this comp, even if they are f***ing rubbish as you so eloquently put it. It's not like we've already struggled against any weaker sides this season is it...
  17. It's a fair point about Hammill and Anderson, both were talented and willing workers, especially given some of the squad players we were wasting money on, like Gonzalez, etc. What a waste of time and resources he was. They might not have made it but I think those two in particular were victims of the internal power struggle that was going on between Melwood and Kirkby. It's unfortunate but does goes on in the game.
  18. If the staff are still not 100 % about a player a loan deal is always the best move. Some will feel demoralised and lose interest, while others will take the chance to prove themselves, ala Nemeth. It's a good test of character. I'd love to see Ecclestone, Nemeth, Pacheco and Ayala all in the squad over the next few seasons. They won't be any worse than some of the dross on huge wages we've seen come and go lately.
  19. It was in the Daily Star. Apparently us and Spurs are monitoring the situation after RVN said he would like to come back to England. So basically they plucked it out of thin air. He would be ideal though. If we're going to bring in squad cover I'd prefer they were experienced and in the twilight of their careers, which allows us to slowly introduce the ressies.
  20. Istanbul has been well and truly milked for all its worth. Some things are best left to the imaginiation.
  21. Haha, he handled it twice. Good game though, Ireland deserved something if only for the fact that they have so many awful players.
  22. Is there such a thing as a consistent 18 year old?
  23. Scary place that. The vast majority seem to think the film was made by the club, and that only Liverpool fans live on council estates.
  24. Usual media sense of humour bypass.
