Dignified response that obviously, not in any way guilty of scoring cheap political points at all in a highly charged atmosphere. @fergusonmindgamesforpressmoronc***suckers

Paul Hayward, not a bad journalist by a long chalk, demonstrating that he has no earthly idea about the issues here Liverpool fans' wrath is killing debate Its not as crass as the slurs against fans after Hillsborough but its still malicous Paul, its simple, an injustice has been served, a man has been branded a racist by a flawed and self serving system and the club is denied a meaningful route for appeal. Nothing new its all around. Its just unlike others, when this happens and we are told what we should think, we dont take it lying down Maybe we wouldn't be so arsey if your media presented a more balanced assessment
-
I think we should stay clear of the Terry issue.

I think the Power guy is beginning to make a mockery out of his own organisation. His comments are beginning to look vindictive an excessive. On another note Its funny that this is the first time I've heard of him and to be fair the organisation he represents. I find it really odd given the racist issues which have been such a problem in some areas of Italy / Spain and the Balkan countries
-
Yes, but I cant be arsed to feign mock outrage and on the whole I quite like Ms Abbott If she wanted to be accurate she should have said English, not white, that would be true,
-
I haven't dealt with the press personally but I've had plenty of opportunity to witness how they operate Let me explain, either you acquiesce, apologise in full, let them hear what they want to hear, or you say f*** em all and come out all guns blazing and to hell with the consequence. At the press conference last night Dalglish was given the opportunity to do that, seemed to me he wanted to do it but he followed the script instead. There is no criticism of Suarez in my comment, just an observation that a rabid press who hate him already are going to pick holes and spin absolutely anything he now says unless its 100% contritional and in line with their perverse and hackneyed view of the decent thing.

Like the Rooney appeal, blatantly hypocritical and not a shred of remorse...and they say our club lacks dignity. Could you actually make this up?
-
To be honest I really think that the latest statement released by Luis is another PR disaster. Its a bit like the s*n's non-apology to us a couple of years ago. Its simply giving the likes of Lawton and Scott more mileage for their campaigning. Ugh this is like a f***ing car crash. We should be doing one of two things here, either going for an all out assault on the credibility of the fa and Evra or just shutting up completely and waiting for the Terry case to provide a new target for the baying hounds
-
Thats the worst yet, linking the club to the lawrence murders by association. Its getting out of hand and they haven't finished yet. The most disappointing aspect to this is the complete lack of perspective from any of the press. They want Dalglish's head on a plate. Suarez is not the only one being held out to dry One thing you learn in this and thats who your friends are.
-
There's a bigger picture now though so they all want their blue peter 'journalists against racism' badge
-
Not exactly the player who likes to commit defenders or anything else of substance really
-
This is a real problem and f***ing useless when you only have one striker upfront
-
Need an Istanbul type of response now
-
Should have appealed - anyone who naively believes the press are going to let this drop are kidding themselves. They will demand a public apology next from Dalglish you mark my words. This is going to go on and on
-
Disappointed would be an understatement. I'm concerned at the future consequences, I suspect the final decision has come from the top
-
Suarez will become the target of every wind up merchant in the league and if he complains this judgement will be held against him. If he retaliates he risks permanent suspension and would get no leeway from a future tribunal. In short the fa have inadvertently "potentially" shortened the career of this hugely talented individual on the balance of probabilities - in this country at least - all with the consent of the so called pfa This injustice does not just impact on what has happened, but his whole career here as well. Will Suarez ever get the benefit of the doubt on or off the pitch from now on - like f*** he will Huge consequences
-
I fully expect that and it will come from the top. A prolonged campaign against the fa and the various anti racism groups will not play along well with our commercial people. It leaves a horrible taste in the mouth but nothing good was going to come out of this. Frankly the 'f*** em al'l response is admirable but inevitably self defeating I will be shocked if we come out fighting and fair play to the owners if we do, but you learn to fight the battles you know you can win

I think there is a tone to the argument which is dismissive and lacks balance and consideration of all the issues. I'm not arguing with the central point, I think there clearly is a lack of judicial fairness in the way its been executed but Suarez has inadvertantly stepped into a very sensitive area and that too should be appreciated I am disgusted with the fa and the media but I'm stepping back from criticising Evra because I think he was genuinely upset by the incident even if he does appear to have been guilty of over exaggeration

Somethings concern me, the affect it has on our own black supporters is one, but at the same time the manner of the way this has been carried out, the delays in charging the player then delays in producing the report seems to have been constructed to brand the player a racist and mobilise as much support for that as they could muster.by encouraging ill informed speculation and mock outrage in a deeply xenophobic national press. This also has clearly got political overtones viz a viz FIFA and the player has got the rough end of it. I'm not 100% sure of what was going through Suarez's mind at the time but its important that everyone has a right to the judicial process and given the implications of the FA's verdict I think the accusation should be decided on a more satisfactory basis than the balance of probabilities in the absence of firm evidence Personally I think that the kick out racism campaign sponsored by the fa is more in danger of scoring an own goal if its perceived to be acting in a high handed manner such as this Just to clarify I refer to the fa's high handed approach not the kick out campaign
-
I believe there is in the FA's regulations a clause to that effect. I think we can take it to the court of arbitration but to take the FA to a judicial court I think would have very serious ramifications with the FA and indeed with UEFA and FIFA I am not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure its right
-
The reason is simply that tomorrow's new years day, Monday is a bank holiday and everything shuts down, Tuesday will be the first opportunity for any widespread analysis (if the press are bothered) and by that time the FA clearly hope it will be yesterday's chip paper. No one is going to convince me that after a couple of weeks procrastinating its rushed out late new years eve by accident They know it stinks and they are trying to minimise the possible fall out
-
Ive read the summary and skimmed the rest as best I could. On the face of it it seems to back our legal's initial point of view. The decision to find Suarez guilty had been made long before, the meeting itself, the evidence and the final justification were all constructed simply to support that decision. Frankly its a travesty of justice but because of a stitch up in the FA's regulations which would be backed up by FIFA its going to be really difficult to get it overturned unless there was overwhelming support from other clubs or the press and its hard to see that getting any traction. The timing of the release is no accident either Gutted

Cahill had a very good season last year but nothing special this season. Seems to me to be one of those players who shows promise then starts to believe in their own hype and thinks they arrived already
-
Though I agree with the sentiment they would probably start docking points
-
I dont believe there's an agenda but there is huge coverage because Liverpool sell newspapers and some of that coverage is going to be negative because it guarantees them even further coverage. Its the way they work. Sometimes I'd say we are a bit sensitive but most of the time we are completely justified in standing up for ourselves and thats not popular in media circles who like to tell us how we should think
