  1. I dont like to think this but the suspicion is that there are players who think the winning the Carling Cup is a case of job done. Its not, or at least it shouldn't be
  2. The amount of points we have thrown away because of poor finishing is alarming, our inability to kill games off and the painful mediocrity of players we paid enormous amounts of money for is not something you worry about then Its beginning to worry me Kenny is doing about as much as he can, he's put together a team which has a nice balance to it and chances are being created, so who do you point the finger at, the players? or the director of football?
  3. the wing commanders view Saw this from a link on Tony Barretts twitter page - sums up the whole debacle of England friendlies perfectly to me
  4. I could quite possibly be wrong, but I don't believe they are interested in the detail of what actually happened or the merits of the actual case and its execution. We have entered into someone else's crusade and logic and a sense of proportion are way down on the agenda We either completely and unreservedly admit our guilt as its perceived, or we ignore them completely. We will probably go half and half and make a real dogs b******s of it. Personally I see engagement in the hope of changing their mindset as futile - we are not engaging with just normal people here
  5. Is right In an unprecedented move, the club publicly apologised, the manager publicly apologised and the player publicly apologised. It seems to me that they want to humiliate us. I'm finding hard to see it any other way. Only more damage can be done by persisting with this
  6. she's asian, technically cant be racist, well at least according to mr powar
  7. No, Suarez is to blame for the weekends fall out
  8. Ayre was one of a small group of influential individuals who managed to save this club from complete ruin. I think we should be prepared to cut him some slack over the issue of one s***ty statement
  9. and should be reminded that at this club the most important person is the manager in the eyes of its supporters
  10. Couldn't agree more - he'll be mad and I cant say I blame him He needs our support
  11. Actually unnecessary - Kenny's actions have been commendable - he has been let down by the player Smacks of the owners flexing muscle again
  12. Flack Ayre is taking is unfair, he is the face of the club LUIS IS THE ONE AT FAULT HERE He said he would, Kenny publically endorsed it, then he went against what he said he would do, as a consequence of which Kenny has been put in the firing line again If I was the manager Id be f***ing fuming regardless of the rights and wrongs of what happened in the original case I can only assume he wants to maintain some relationship with Suarez which prevents him giving the player a good bollcking maybe behind those closed doors he has If Suarez did not want to shake Evras hand because he was uncomfortable with that he shouldnt have made the undertaking and it could have been managed somehow LUIS NEEDS TO GROW UP No one player is bigger than the club or his issues more important
  13. The FA are too busy employing racist caretaker managers
  14. Luis doesn't need to go, when he plays football he's wonderful, he just needs to forget Evra, lie low for a bit and let the football do the talking.
  15. The point is that this issue is being picked up abroad and FSG will be aware of this. If we are having trouble controlling what our own press are saying on the issue we have no chance of getting the clubs stance (or lack of it) understood abroad. Headaches are being created for the owners and there is a possibility developing, remote as it maybe, of a capello type confrontation. Suarez is not worth that. He needs to get a grip and realise that as a Liverpool player he has responsibilities to the club that go beyond his ego
  16. Could mean trouble Forgive me if this has already been posted but someone previously doubted whether this was an issue outside of UK, seems not,
  17. Suarez is supposed to be a professional. He is failing miserably. s*** happens and he should stop behaving like a prick. Same applies to Evra. and you make an excellent point
  18. From the Guardian - Try not to vommit Sir Alex Ferguson will recommend Patrice Evra does not ignore Luis Suaárez in the pre-match handshake when they come face to face for the first time since the Football Association found the Liverpool striker guilty of racially abusing the Manchester United player and banned him for eight matches. Ferguson intends to leave the decision to Evra when the two teams meet at Old Trafford next weekend but believes the Frenchman should not prolong the argument. "He should be applauded for what he did [reporting Suárez], standing up to it," Ferguson said. "There is no shame for him. The matter is over. He can rise above that [ignoring the handshake]."

  20. Maybe because there arent the quality of players available in the January transfer window. In fact we know there arent, is anyone really that enthusiastic about some of the names we have been linked with so far Maybe because they had their fingers burnt when we spunked 35m in a blind panic last January for a striker who has fallen far short of the billing Maybe because simply trying to buy yourself out of a problem isnt the real solution
  21. Quite the most ungrateful pile of s*** i've read for a long while, I get the distinct impression these guys are in it for the long haul and will not be bounced into making knee jerk decisions just for the convenience of satisfying ignorant spoilt brats with a craving for quick fixes such as yourself Thank God
  22. We be banned after we t*** them

Amazing from Powar, the mans a complete meglomaniac Liverpool's statement came after Piara Powar, executive director of European football's anti-discrimination body Fare, criticised the club. "The obvious thing for LFC today must be to come out as a club – owner, manager, captain – and start to undo some of the damage, including addressing their fans," he wrote on Twitter. "Go onto the LFC website and there is not a single expression of regret about what happened last night. "Are LFC fans going to do this at every game, support the mistakes made by their own man [suárez] by abusing others? 25% of PL players are black. That's a lot of players to abuse. Top clubs have unprecedented influence and power over millions of people. They should exercise that power responsibly, if they don't it's time for the authorities to step in." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/07/liverpool-racism-fan-life-ban

Well, on the bright side it gives the club the opportunity to show its commitment to kicking out racism by working with the police and banning anyone found guilty of the abuse. Lifetime bans for any one found guilty. Job done
