  1. It doesn't matter who it is, any money will just go towards paying off the debt.
  2. Apparently Gillett has let slip that we are close to signing a bumper new shirt sponsorship deal. I wouldn't get too excited, it won't go back into the club and will just go towards servicing the loan, then they can proclaim how well we're doing and reducing the debt.
  3. Don't think it matters to be honest. It's not about SOS, and the more fans turning against the owners the better.
  4. I\'d confidently say it\'s the former.
  5. Speculation where? There's nothing on the usual media channels.
  6. You'll have to refresh my memory on that. Whenever the subject of his defending came up it was in the negative and reeked of an agenda. The manc at one point even openly mocked Cappello's judgment of Johnson, and after the goal questioned his place in the team but relented because 'we don't have anyone better'. Can't believe anyone is even defending these idiots in the media. They've known about Johnson's perceived defensive weakness for a while, yet since he moved to us it's now a huge talking point and major flaw in England's chances for the WC. They do love a good scapegoat. I never heard Waddle but knowing him it will have been some inchoerent drivel based on the latest media bandwagon.
  7. Got a horrible feeling about this game. These post international home games against percieved lesser teams can be a struggle. I'd take a scrappy one il right now. With Masch out I expect it will be Lucas in his best position - the holding role - alongside Gerrard. Benayoun right, Riera left, Kuyt upfront with Torres.
  8. Bad news. He's now freed up the resources to be able to borrow more money. There's no profit for them without the new stadium, which is why they've hung on for grim death and will continue to do so. The only way to get them out currently is for the team to regress badly and fall out of the CL gravy train, but it's catch 22 for the fans. The majority don't want that and will keep the peace if the results are good. What really riles me is the total lack of leadership. They can't even bothered to have their own presence here. The next time they come they should be made to feel as unwelcome as legally possible.
  9. Praising him through gritted teeth after an assist, while still undermining his place in the side is not the same thing. There was plenty of occasions where he defended well and snuffed out danger, yet they barely even mentioned it, prefering to stick to their pre-determined agenda.
  10. Mad.
  11. The singling out of Glen on Wednesday was nothing short of a disgrace and obviously pre-meditated. Beglin and the other manc idiot were nibbling at him all game, while refusing to acknowledge anything positive he did. People call us paranoid but it can't be a coincidence that many of our players have become national team scapegoats. I doubt he'd be under the same scrutiny if he was still at Pompey or under droopy face at Spurs.
