  1. Played well again, though he still has a tedency to look for the easy sideways pass instead of breaking forward into space.
  2. Whelan is a clueless bitter c**k. Not worth worrying over. I like the RTE coverage though.
  3. I was in the Anny Road that day. Great image of Souness shaking his fist after vollying one in the top corner.
  4. I have to turn over when Redknapp start's one of his whiny rants. Who the f*** is he again?
  5. Gerrard was turdid tonight too, as was Pepe's kicking and our set pieces in general...for a change. Nothing more frustrating whe you're playing poorly than corners constantly hitting the first man or sloppily trying a short one and giving it away.
  6. Lucas Benayoun Johnson
  7. We're still a one man team according to Souness.
  8. Maddock = fantasist.
  9. Johnson was playing well I thought and suddenly, whether through boredom, they started up with the 'leaving gaps' drivel and even questioned his mental capacity in dealing with critisism from stupid d****eads like t***sley and Beglin over his England performances.

    New Stadium

They need to be cramped so Pellegrino can whisper sweet tactical nothings in Rafa's ear after every move.
  11. Disgraceful tonight. The agenda with Johnson is so obvious it's sickening.
  12. We'll batter these, no sweat. Painful.
  13. I know, but the question still stands. If SOS are focused on getting the current regime out why are they even accepting dialogue with them? It feels to me like they're not entirely convinced about their aims.
  14. The score was tongue in cheek. I know nothing about them but I do have a dodgy feeling about tonight. It feels like we're taking them for granted.
  15. What is a meeting with Purslow going to achieve exactly? It's not going to get the yanks out, which is what SOS should be focused on if they want to be taken seriously. Seems like it's more of an ego trip and show of strength.
  16. People were living in the squalor then. Most have long gone now, my nan being one of them. I don't remember anyone from the match ever saying lets get a protest together because the ground was located in a s***hole.
  17. I know they did but it was a complete package. Once the stadium was rightly shelved so was the regeneration of the surrounding area, although the park was excellently restored. They have no loyalties to the surrounding area - an area which was left to rot for years by self serving politicans long before the yanks arrived, and one which I still have huge links to. So save me the sob story. If we're playing the stadium and regeneration blame game, what about Moores, Parry, the council and scumbag agencies like the NWDA who did their utmost to hold the project up while pushing their deluded ground share agenda?
  18. You don't. Were you on your guilt trip about it 15 years ago under Moores when the area was in even bigger disrepair? And if you're not going to tell me to f*** off to my face, don't bother, you little g*******.
  19. When did they 'trumpet' it, for gods sake? It was part of the plan which, thankfully, was shelved, due to the credit crunch, that's it. The last thing we need is them finding the funds to build the stadium anyway as we'll have similar levels of debt to the mancs and be even more hamstrung by interest payments. Be careful what you wish for.
  20. Classy. Kilfoyle is a self serving politician, of course he's going to raise the issue. Maybe he should have raised the issue of regenerating some of the worst areas left to rot in the country 20 years ago.
  21. 1-2.
  22. I'm sure they care. But save me the guilt trip. It's an important issue linked to the new stadium but lets not pretend it was top of our list. I doubt the vast majority do, or ever did care about the surrounding area, and it's now being used as another excuse to bash the yanks, which doesn't sit right with me. Stick to the debt, it should be the only target at the moment.
  23. Come on, get real. When did anyone give a shiny s**** about the regeneration of the surrounding area or anyone living there, which is the council's problem anyway, before we started hating the owners? Lets stay clear of emotional hyperbole and stick to the facts.
  24. I don't think Purslow should be a fall guy for the owners if he's good at his job. There's no reason why they can't be seperate entities. Or where does it end? Have we moved on from Ayres now by the way?
  25. According to Bloomberg, the yanks have agreed to pay a fifth of its 290 million-pound ($478 million) debt in return for Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and Wachovia Corp. refinancing the rest of the loan. Not sure what that works out at it. Whatever it is it's still too much and draining much needed resources.
