I don't think it's a good idea at all, but I do see it as where we've been heading for years. Sorry if that's capitalist realist crap.
Apart from the matches, football sucks. The players suck. The clubs suck. Agents really suck. If I was half my age and a talented footballer too, I'd probably suck as well.
It's all been about money for years. One of the main criticisms our owners get is that they're too tight with the cash. Money in football has become abstract to most of us, but that doesn't mean that a player on two hundred grand a week won't want to renegotiate to be on 250. Controls should have been introduced years ago.
