Out of country maybe, but the club ain´t ever out of mind. Sat in an internet cafe and cos I´ve got a Liverpool badge on the only thing the owner says to me is Xabi Alonso, Rafa Benitez, Pepe Reina, Luis Garcia, Antonio Barragan.
I reckon this one will only be settled ten years from now. They're both gonna keep getting better, but Stevie's got a slight headstart. Both should have great careers if all goes well. I've a feeling that Xabi might eventually just shade Stevie for sheer class. Both are among the very best though. We're lucky to have them.
There's not much comptetion in the world of Cherry Bakewells is there? But no, even if there were, they wouldn't be cos they're bloody horrible! [From Kronkamp to Cherry Bakewells in twenty one pages - we need help.]
This is an insane discussion. 'World class' doesn't have a different sense when applied to sports. It means the same thing. Steve Finnan is a bloody good footballer but he's not world class. An epithet like 'world class' has to be used sparingly and only applied to the best of the best, or else it becomes meaningless.
I agree. That and the injury last season. Hopefully he'll suffer a better fate than the last few right backs to leave the club. It's been a definite case of from here to obscurity in that department.
