Just saw this in the LFC forum. I've not been in here since just after Covid started. Can't quite believe this.
I didn't know Vic very well really but he was one of the people on here I felt the most connection to. He helped me out with some computing problems and we shared some jazz stuff with each other.
When I said I'd been furloughed at the start of the pandemic, he contacted me and said if I'd needed any money, he'd be happy to give me some as he had more than he needed. I said no, but was amazingly touched. I've been meaning to message him for a while, but never got round to it. In the last message I have from him on here, he says he's gonna come and stay when Covid is done. That's something I've hoped would happen. He was clearly a good soul and he'll be massively missed.
My heart goes out to Anne and anyone else who knew him and cared about him.
