  1. Guys one thing I had issue with in the game was the announcement of the MoM award at Wembley They announced in about the 86-88th minute that Mata was man of the match - what if Carroll scored late on pushed it to extra time and then scored his hat trick in extra time to win it....seemed quite premature to me
  2. Sorry your right it was 110 (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9249857/Liverpools-FA-Cup-defeat-leaves-Kenny-Dalglish-with-little-left-to-hide-behind-as-focus-shifts-to-league-travails.html) but still...my point remains valid Miss their best players? yes of course but being physically unable to cope is a whole different ball game and our current league standing suggests the latter.
  3. You are telling me you are happy that we can pump about 120 million pounds into a team and STILL not be able to provide cover for 2-3 injuries? And I'm the deluded one.... +1 as I said above - DoF is the important one for me now
  4. Get over injuries mate - we are not gonna win a premier league title if we cant deal with them - the squad needs to be good enough to deal with them and its not - and the blame for that lies somewhere between Kenny, H&G, FSG, and Comolli.
  5. Clubs set targets at the start of the season ours was top 4 - nothing about cups. Our clear goal was to get back into champions league football and we have not been further from it in the last 10 years (and beyond). Those are not high standards for our club - and if you think they are then we have already lost. Our failure to even get close is the most damaging part becuase top 4 was our aim. The aim wasn't "oh top 4 but if you win a couple of s***ty English cups your off the hook". Our club is a global brand and it needs to be playing football on the biggest stage and that's Champions League full stop. Why do you think teams put their youth squads or second string squads out in the cups rounds. because it is nott the important thing. Thats a personnel issue not a tactical issue - we genuinely have no one to replace them - HENCE my previous statements about signings
  6. Im inclined to agree with most of what you guys are saying -- i think Kenny should be given more time but i don't think he has the connections throughout modern football (worldwide) in order to bring in the players in required. His signings have been nothing short of horrendous and the most painful aspect is his insistence on playing terrible players he has signed week in and week out desperately hoping he will be repaid the faith he puts in them (which will likely never happen) I think Kenny hasnt missed a beat tactically I just think they need a DoF who takes control of the signings and brings in players that can actually play football with the style and pace Kenny wants. Above all we have to drop this British obsession. They cant play the quick passing game properly. I reckon if this isnt remedied we are screwed.
  7. Your happy just winning cups then? Cups are nice but cups are not really anything especially on our current drought. The amount of financial assistance getting into the CL would give us dwarfs any cup win (excluding the CL itself). And if we can learn anything from professional football its that if you got money you have a much higher chance of winning titles. The league is what we aim for and having said all that our performance against Cardiff in that league cup really was quite abysmal against a championship side.
  8. I would have signed better players than the Comolli/Dalgliesh combo did - Also im not convinced Comolli did all wrong - as he said he wanted mata not downing but Kenny wanted to buy british Fair enough - how long then? What if we are langishing in 6-10th after christmas this year?
  9. In all seriousness there is some decent managerial talent floating around at the moment who arent currently working or are leaving at the end of this season - if we were to change managers this is probably a good time if we wanna find someone.
  10. HYYPIA!!!!!!!!!
  11. Okay there we go - why Don't you trust them? after they poured cash into trying to get a decent squad and them getting s*** kicking british ******* instead? Shouldn't you be untrusting of Kenny's ability to find decent talent and not the owners who have backed him? There come a point where there is no longer an argument for "oh were just unlucky" - and the table is the table - it doesn't lie its 38 games not 1. If you play one game and lose that can be unrepresentative but 38 games is a good sample size, in fact its the only sample size we should be concerned with and in this case we have been s****. Shoulda, woulda, coulda are all losers words desperately seeking justification for a poor season. I think we are as far away as the table suggests because the table suggests it - there's no point playing good football if your gonna lose.
  12. 1.5 and over 100 million pounds
  13. I haven't seen you make a logical argument yet so ill sit and wait
  14. Okay so I get your hearts argument but what about your head?
  15. If you wanna talk about where to improve and what type of summer activity is required you need to know whats wrong before you can fix it
  16. So how would you judge our season if you don't wanna use figures like that?
  17. your right lets not look at stats lets all close our eyes and wish for premier league points
  18. if someone offered us 5m we would be stupid not to accept it
  19. "accidental" death followed by insurance claim
  20. if its at home we'll lose 0-2
  21. stop using age as an excuse -- there are plenty of other players around his age making 10x the impact on their teams than he is...look at Welbeck over at Manc scum land. Sturridge is another. Barcelona. Shane Ferguson at Newcastle has actually looked a better player than Henderson this season. And these guys have had less than half the opportunities that Henderson has. The simple fact is that Henderson is not good enough to attract the amount of time on the pitch he has been getting. It actually smacks of desperation desperately hoping he will come good. he needs to go out on loan and seriously do something because otherwise he really isnt good enough for a team trying to get back into champions league. I sure hope all you guys are right about him being worth the 16-20 mill spent on him but so far i'm inclined to feel like he is going to end up being a horrendous waste of money.
  22. Like, dance, agree, all of that jazz
  23. hes actually quite good with his feet which means we don't always have to lump balls in at all - case in point his goal v Chelsea - hes got a really good one touch pass on him for layoffs aswell which bring our midfielders forward which is really what we have been lacking all season - we spend most of the time with maybe one person in the box if lucky.
