I'll tell you what really annoys me, a here is a list of some of the players that were involved in the Champions League semi-finals this year: Javier Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa, Raul Meireles, and Fernando Torres. Notice anything? In the space of a few years we have lost the above five players (by the way Insua played for Sporting in the semi-finals of Europa and dominated) and replaced them with Jordan Henderson ($16million), Stuart Downing ($20 million), Andy Caroll ($35 million) Jonjo Shelvey ($1.7 million), Craig Bellamy (free), and Jay Spearing (youth academy).I'll leave out Suarez, because that is by far our best piece of business in recent memory, although i do hope Caroll and Jonjo will prove, in time, to be great buys as well. Maybe we'll look back on this in a few years and wonder what all the fuss was about, but for now, I'm just fundamentally depressed.

Tiredness? The 60 minutes before Carroll was introduced was a walk in the park for them - I'm pretty sure they didn't break a sweat... maybe you meant they had cooled down and therefore needed to engage their usual pre match warmups again

I was thinking more about the overseeing of proper transfer targets to strengthen the squad rather than weaken it

I just think hes a squad player for the next 2-3 years at least after a 1 year loan out - hes not solid defensively and apart from maybe 1 or 2 good passes this season he hasn't had any positive impact. At least he has been more effective than downing but I'm pretty sure me sitting on my a*** watching the game means I have more of an impact than him. He should not have played as many games as he did this season and he sure as hell shouldn't have started the FA cup final and he is NOT worth 20 million pounds

Yeah fair enough - I still think he needs some time on loan to get some confidence to boss games My issue is I felt Sterling looked more dangerous than Henderson in only like 30 mins of football - I just feel like Henderson is missing that bit of spark

no no i with you i was just trying to eek out why people want him to stay or why he is deserving of the support - personally i think he should get more time i just think we need a proper DoF
