Well, he was world class and could be again. Maybe we broke him, maybe hes f**ked in the head but theres no denying the talent he has/had for scoring.

We have a decent chance if we're up against City, for example. If we can hold on to Reina then it would be a very public sign that things are changing. As it stands, we could be losing two world class players, in Reina and Torres, within six months of each other. Things like that must also influence a players decision to join.

Its good that we are looking at players who are at the level of Hazard, regardless if they want to come or not. If thats the level of players the club are looking at then its a possible good sign.

Even if they are on the bench, I can't see them getting any time on the pitch. That said, they'd probably do better than what we'll be starting with.

I'd much rather have a player that can, as you say, unlock defences than one who is physical enough.

Everyone liked Mascherano when he was breaking up play. Didn't score or make assists though. Why does his ability to do one thing (tackles) but not another (assists/goals) outweigh Aquilani's ability to do the opposite?

Am I being naive in thinking that an inability to tackle is negated by goals and assists? If he were to come back I think he'd do well, he won't be winning every ball but he'll get the ball to the strikers feet - something we can't seem to do this season.
