If Spearing hadn't come through the academy, he wouldn't be playing for us which is to say we wouldn't have recognised his 'talents' and bought him.

He's indicated all season he wants to play in Italy. However, I want him to play at Liverpool. He might step up his game a-la Jay Spearing under the new management.

Poulsen was muck before we bought him. People would argue that Aquilani is good enough to be a squad player.

True, but we own neither of them. Aquilani is a Liverpool player.

He has to have the ball to be of any use. Our major problem over the past two seasons was getting the ball to the strikers.

I never said otherwise. All players have off days, even the best of them Aquilani didn't get enough games in this league to judge his consistency. Judging him at Juve is a bit deceptive as they're a poor team playing in what I consider a lesser league.
