We've increased the wage bill with the new contracts too, Suarez is getting more than double what he was. Pay increases might well negate what was save from releasing Cole/Aquilani etc

We've spent around £40 million and have renewed a lot of contracts. Money is being spent, just not on huge targets anymore.

Sneidjer isn't coming off of a great season, didn't have a great season before that. Perhaps the reason he's not rated at £30 million is because he's not worth that anymore. Strikes me as being another Joe Cole situation, someone on massive wages who can't live up to the hype.
