What exactly has he done for both Juve and Milan? I've watched Italian footy regularly since the (James Richardson days) and I can tell you that he hasn't done a huge amount for them. He started off really well for Juve, then played like dog s*** for the second half of the season. The Juve fans forgave him for s***ting out of tackles when he was playing well for them, but their opinion quickly changed and even Melo was getting a game ahead of Alberto. For all the talk of Aquilani perhaps making a difference for us playing further upfield, he hardly scored for them (even when he was playing behind the strikers during the first 2/3 months of the season). Juve chose not to keep him permanently and instead signed a better player (on a free). At Milan, again he started off really well, got injured and has been in (mostly) awful form since returning. He has only scored one league goal for them too and they don't seem too bothered about him leaving. As others have said, it was a poor signing from start to finish. Just because other players we have signed since then have been as bad/worse, it doesn't make the Aquilani transfer any better. I for one am not looking forward to his return.
