I didn't know about the release clause. I think he'd be an idea partner for Agger as he's a monster in the air, despite not looking as physical as the Greek, for example. He has excellent positional sense, decent pace, is sufficiently aggressive, not bad on the ball and as I mentioned, excellent in the air (at both ends of the pitch). My Danish friend has told me that Kjaer's spoken quite a bit about supporting the Reds and his desire to form a partnership with Agger at club level. I believe that a left-back is also a top priority. In my opinion, the entire team is unbalanced when Insua plays, due to the left CB always having to shift to the left in cover (see Fulham away for a start example) and the left midfielder not being able to attack with much freedom.
