I ended up voting yes. I can glimpse a title challenge, but OTOH there are plenty of teams breathing down our neck for 4th too. I'd take it and congratulate Rodgers on a fine achievement.

No. I don't want to be pragmatic about football right now. I want to enjoy the journey and see where it takes us. Every game right now is relevant and weighted with excitement and anticipation and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's where, as a fan I want to be and haven't been for a long long time bar great cup runs, and the very very odd challenge.

I had us for first before the season started because we have the best player in the league, Steven Gerrard and no european football midweek. We're now top of the league and will have the opportunity to do what should have been done in the summer and properly strengthen.

Settle for fourth now? No.

yes

just because we could just as easy finish 7th/8th as finish 1st

Yep. All it would take is a bad few games and we're looking behind.

As much as I love the idea of us being in the title race by April I think City are just too strong, so if offered I wouldn't risk 4th on the hope City would stumble

THIS MAN.

Yeah yeah. Easy to play the big tiger when we're top of the tree. Let's pose this question again on the 30th of December. I'd take 4th in a heart beat.

We could get two creditable draw at City and Chelsea and still find ourselves 5th on the morning of the 30th December.

if we got 2 draws we're in a great position to win the thing, even from 5th

Points from top is a greater indicator than position when it's so tight at the top

If Arsenal win tonight they are top, lose they are 4th and Everton would be 2pts off top in 5th.

I'd take 4th now, mainly because we need it to have any chance of keeping Suarez.
