richwilks Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 f*** yes. I'd got to the point in the summer where I felt that the time had come for him to go, I was completely wrong. The guy should still be here and if he was here under NESV I've no doubt that we'd be top 4 by the end of the season. If Hodgson stays here he will destroy the club and it will take a massive rebuilding job. Any player that doesn't support him should f*** off in January as well, starting with Ryan Babel.
Bailo Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Of course we f***ing should. Apart from the fact it's piss Purslow off no end, it'd also piss off the little Englanders in our squad who wanted a wovely cuddly English manager to play them no matter what.
Benzo-13 Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Yes.The man who can turn this Hodgson mess around in quickest time.
Elm0 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 hes been sacked/ has walked btw, for those that havent heard the news.
richwilks Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 hes been sacked/ has walked btw, for those that havent heard the news. I thought that had been denied?
Elm0 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 Gazzetta dello Sport has confirmed it this morning apparently
Hassony Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 not sure it's been confirmed yet, his agent said that he is committed to Inter
Snookie Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 In a heartbeat. Wouldn't have said that a few months ago but after watching what a man who understands nothing about the club can do in three months, you only appreciate more what a man who loves a club brings with him to it. I acknowledge all his flaws, and maybe it should only be a 'caretaking position' but christ I'd carry him on my back to Anfield if I thought it would work and I live in Asia...
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I have voted 'yes'. However, if there is a manager that is equally or better qualified, I would take that manager purely because I think things might still be raw.
guernseygareth Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 he's incredibly frustrating at times. he's incredibly majestic at times. he's not RFH or english or liked by the media or, apparently, by certain elements of the squad who really should know better/f*** off. he's got a proven track record. i had to vote yes. BUT i don't think it'll happen and a good chunk of my rational self says that it shouldn't.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 not sure it's been confirmed yet, his agent said that he is committed to Inter Its not confirmed officially but its about as official as it gets as I understand it.

Like who?All the senior English players we had at the time he played no matter what
cymrococh Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I love the man but it was time for a change.
Bailo Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Like who?All the senior English players we had at the time he played no matter whatI don't think Carra would have played as much this year under Rafa. I love the man but it was time for a change.Nah, it really wasn't. A bad half season this season and I'd have agreed with you, but we'd be doing no worse this season with him I'd wager. And deciding to get rid of Rafa without a top class replacement lined up means the decision to get rid was woeful. If we'd have had Mr Villas Boas or a new Rafa lined up, I could see the logic. But then logic hasn't been applied to this club for near on 3 years.
Sion Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Where's the option 'yes instead of Roy, but I'd prefer a different top manager'
Elm0 Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 I intended this to be a vote based on absolutes, not relatives. Whether youd take him in scenario xyz is irrelevant in this case, its just whether youd take him. I understand your sentiments though, dont get me wrong
Tones Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Shouldnt have been sacked. There would be quite a few negative reasons for bringing him back. But i dont think we could find a better manager. He is still one of the best in the game. Who could we get with a better record? Who could we get that cares more about the club? Kenny of course. But after that theres no one really.
Des Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I don't think NESV would reappoint him in a million years anyway.
CarraLegend Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I love the man but it was time for a change. Agreed. And Its two crap seasons in a row at different clubs. He's falling out with yet another boss, on one hand its good he's got balls to go against people but on the other hand is he ever going to be happy? I'd give it a week before he fell out with Comolli and probably a month with Brukner regarding injuries. Plenty of supporters dont want him back so it'll just end up the same as now, loads of people abusing him and some saying he is faultless. I want an end to that, I want something fresh that we can all get behind, well 99.9% anyway. Its not him. His CV and use of 21-24 year olds probably appeals greatly to NESV but not the constant arguments and money wasted in recent years.
Boca Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I don't think NESV would reappoint him in a million years anyway. Agree and I think it's been proven again at Inter that Rafa needs to have total control over managerial decisions, otherwise it won't work. He's not going to get that with NESV and Commoli so I can't see him back here.
Bailo Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Agree with Des that NESV won't touch him with a bargepole. There seems to be a lot of anger about the wages and contracts he left behind.
