Gerrardrules Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Dont shoot the messenger, but I heard from my mate, who's currently in Spain, that Rafa is going to walk. He will go public after the match tomorrow. Dont know if he will finish the season. He heard it from someone of the staff.
carrafan Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Must be really unsatisfied with the things going behind the scenes, then.
dalennie Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Mark Lawrenson has mentioned something similar on Today FM, irish radio
rikf Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Although I must say I find it VERY hard to believe that he wouldnt want to finish the season.

Sion Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) I find it very hard to believe that1) he'd say he's leaving only to say not until the end of the season2) he'd not wait to see the possible owner changes in the summer 3) he'd be allowed by G&H to carry on after saying he wants to leave Edited February 24, 2009 by Sion

Crazy Horse Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Find this story hard to believe, but it has looked like he's been preparing the ground for an exit for a while. I've been assuming he'd see out his contract and then leave.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 heard the same twice in the last 2 days: tomorrow's his last game, Dalglish in until the end of the season. However, 1 - kenny's been out of footy for ages2 - Rafa's not the sort to bail like that3 - there's still an EC to be won4 - would he really walk half-way through a tie against Real? Imagine we were taking a 3-0 lead to Anfield5 - if he gets fired rather than walking, you can expect Anfield to be empty next home game
gns Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 lol no chance. he stayed when his job was offered to someone else, he isnt going to toddle of with us 2nd in the league.
Leonard Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 there no way he will go now, the league is still obtainable not very likely but theres a chance. plus the cl is also in the mix. would be gobsmacked if this was true.
Swipe Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Wouldn't at all be surprised if something happened in the summer to be honest, but i'd be gobsmacked if he left now. And he made it public after a game. And he'd be allowed to carry on for rest of the season.
