Guest Snorky Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Will he be the first Liverpool players to score 20 Premiership goals in one season ? I have consulted the anti-mocker gods and they have approved this question.
Guest Kaizer Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Difficult question. So far he has scored 12 goals in 22 matches, including 19 starts. We have 14 matches left of the PL season, 7 at home and 7 away, so if he will get to play all these matches and he can keep up his ratio he will most possible be able to do it. But he is not taking our penalties and its by no means certain he will play enough matches so it will be difficult considering we will be up against a few teams that are solid at the back. Home:BoroWest HamNewcastleReadingEvertonBlackburnMan City Away:ChelseaBoltonMan UtdArsenalFulhamBirminghamTottenham My guess is that its going to be a really close call and since I`m an optimist by nature, my answer will be yes.

genghis Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Home:BoroWest HamNewcastleReadingEvertonBlackburnMan City Away:ChelseaBoltonMan UtdArsenalFulhamBirminghamTottenham F'kin 'ell, as an aside - there's a lot of fixtures in there we're likely to drop points in And given the toughness, I'm going for a 'just falling short' of 20 league goals for the Tog.
Bo Benn Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 (edited) If we improve our play to a level of what we had the first 3-4 months of the league season he stands a good chance. For the last month we've been generally crap and Torres haven't scored a lot. Easy as that. Edited February 3, 2008 by obey Hysén

BG Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I suspect he will. Hopefully he'll knock five past Everton alone.
Whitey Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 feck me, thats a tough run in to the season! It just looks tough because we've been playing s****. If we were on form, we'd not worry at all aside from the top 3.
Lanus Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 If Torres can stay fit then I think he will. I do admit that he may have started on a high and think his general form will be a little lower... however, he's bloody fantastic and we'd be f***ed without him. thank god Rafa signed him.
honourablegeorge Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 The weird thing is that he's scored almost all his goals at home. And I'd guess that we've got our worst home record for years this season. Whatever Torres has given us, we've managed to piss it away at the back.
Rimbeux Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Thought fowler had done it. I think he will, and I hope he does it with goals in eight or more games, not three or four.
ManxRed Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Is efcrmagic about? Can he confirm whether or not Torres has caught up with and overtaken the joint tally for Johnson and Yakubu yet?

So Cal Red Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 If he doesn't, we should sell him. & sign a BiG nAmE striker.
Knoxy Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 If he doesn't, the FA dodgy goals panel should accredit him with the difference to ensure he gets to 20 That's how good he is
Hassony Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I have a feeling that Kuyt will suddenly find his scoring form and end up with 20 this season
